About community schools alliance Trust

Community Schools Alliance Trust (CSAT) is an Academy Trust composing of two schools, Cheney School secondary school and Bayards Hill primary school . Cheney School became an Academy in January 2013 after a thorough consultation with our school community and we were approved by the Department for Education in October 2014 to become the sponsor for Bayards Hill Primary School.

Our aim is for every young child and young person to benefit from a world class education and one which inspires our  school communities to achieve more than they thought possible. Our commitment to these principles is evident through our working practices, which focus on making the difference to the life chances of our pupils and students.  Academy staff  and students work together and learn together,  and by doing so our practice is continually improving and bringing about the changes required to deliver on our ambitious aims.

We will work with Bayards Hill to help accelerate pupil progress so that they have every opportunity to progress when they join secondary schools. This will not impact our admission arrangements and we will continue to work in close partnership with all our feeder primary schools.

We have recently been named as the sponsor for the new school to be built in the Barton Park development in Oxford, which we are extremely pleased about and it will continue the close relationship we have built up with the community within Barton.

If you have any queries about CSAT do not hesitate to contact me, I would be delighted to answer your questions.
