Imagining Oxford of the Future

Imagining Oxford of the Future

On Monday 29 January, we were delighted to welcome the Oxford 2050 team from Oxfordshire County Council. The Oxford 2050 team has been set up to consult with the public about the sort of city they would like Oxford to be in the future.

The team met with a class of Year Twelve students and asked them all to write down the sort of things that mattered to them about their city, and what they would like to change. A number wrote down green issues, as well as a desire to reduce inequality and the need for better transport.

The students were then interviewed on camera about their ideas. These interviews and their thoughts will form part of the wider consultation process that Oxford 2050 are organising.

At our Festival of Imagined Worlds on Friday  February, 3 - 6pm, Oxford 2050 can be found in the Rowling World, where they will be meeting with people and exploring imaginings of a future Oxford!
