Live music for our GCSE Music Students

Live music for our GCSE Music Students

Every year, the Oxford County Music Service hold a Schools Concert, specifically designed for students studying Music. It is an opportunity for students to hear live music in a fantastic venue, The Sheldonian Theatre, while also analysing the music heard and breaking it down. This is a unique experience and allows students to really understand the music they are listening to while enjoying a performance from students across Oxfordshire. Our Year 9 and Year 10 GCSE Music students really enjoyed the afternoon out, with a highlight of Beauty and the Beast numbers being performed! Mr Barquilla particularly enjoying singing along to these! It was also fantastic to see so many of our own Cheney students performing in the top youth orchestra in Oxfordshire – OCYO. This included: Lucy (Year 13), Zak  (Uear 10), Erin  (Year 11), Lewis (Year 13), Madeleine (Year 11) and Isabel (Year 11).
