Local GP Talks to Year Nine History of Medicine Students

Local GP Talks to Year Nine History of Medicine Students

On Monday 29 January, we were privileged to welcome Maggie Budden, an Oxfordshire GP who has spent her life working in primary care, to speak to Year Nine History students. She presented the students with a series of practical and ethical dilemmas which GPs often face, and asked them to consider the various factors that a GP has to think about.

The students engaged excellently with the scenarios, and formed a range of opinions on the dilemmas. Maggie then spent half an hour talking to an aspirant medical student in Year Twelve, Brighty.

We are very grateful to Maggie for giving up her time to visit, and for delivering such a stimulating session with Year Nines and her very helpful discussion with Brighty.
