Snow Globe

Snow Globe

It has taken a while to defrost the camera, but here is a wonderful picture of our students braving weather at the Globe Theatre last month. Year 8s really enjoyed this wintry version of "Much Ado About Nothing", and wrote reviews for homework. Here are a few extracts:

" I really enjoyed the play at the globe because it was a mixture of modern and Elizabethan, and also the acting was really good."

" The experience of watching the play the same way they used to was exciting because I had never been in an open-roofed theatre. I think that the use of the natural light was really good because it used a lot less electricity than modern day theatres."

" I thought the set was very good - I enjoyed the beautiful and traditional Elizabethan theatre designs."

The costumes used  by he actors were very adventurous and added a modern feel to an old play."

"The actors did a very good performance - they all embraced their roles and made a very realistic performance of them."

Congratulations to all our Year 8s who showed real enthusiasm and behaved beautifully on the trip, despite the dramatic weather.
