Cheney Plus is Cheney School’s inclusion unit and runs for both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students who find it difficult to learn in mainstream lessons.

Both units offer core subjects of English, Maths and Science, in addition to a wide variety of activities that equip our students with skills needed to re-enter the mainstream school and succeed.

The Key Stage 3 base works on students’ self esteem and belief through an intervention-style programme including SEAL (Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning), Self Awareness and Forest School to help them manage anger, social skills and behavioural issues. In Key Stage 4 the focus is more on academic qualifications and students also have the opportunity to take vocational courses at Meadowbrook College.
