The week before last, Cheney teachers took 30 French students from Year 9, Year 10, and Year 12 to Rouen in Normandy, France.
Our early morning coach ride and ferry crossing was followed by a week of intensive French lessons, an exciting guided tour around the historical centre of Rouen, photography competitions and interviews with locals in Honfleur's seaside town, a visit to Giverny's gardens and the house of Monet, as well as plenty of sing-alongs during the coach journeys in-between. Students made the most out of their evenings spent with host families trying out the local cuisine, practising their French with the household; host siblings and pets included!
A fabulous week full of fun, French, and laughter.
A huge THANK YOU to Ms Lebari, Ms Cox, Ms Oke and Mr Cartwright.
