Like all schools, Cheney has faced of significant funding cuts and increased overheads. We are fortunate to have the support and expertise of our fantastic PTA, Cheney Friends, who work tirelessly throughout the year to raise funds to support a range of projects in the school.  We also run an annual, targetted, Fundraising Appeal, where we ask our community for financial support for a specific project or projects.

Help Fundraise with Cheney Friends

There are lots of ways you can support the school with the help of Cheney Friends. Take a look at their webpage for our current appeals.

Annual Fundraising Appeal

We would like to thank the whole Cheney community for their support with our 2020 remote learning appeal.

We raised the sum of £28,257.99, including Gift Aid on donations made via the Cheney Friends. This allowed us to provide a heavily subsidised laptop to every child eligible for Free School Meals, and means that we are able to retain many of the advantages of remote learning into the future.

The appeal is now closed. Any further funds raised will be used to enhance the student experience: provision of additional resources, in-house alternative provision, pastoral support, investment in IT infrastructure, environmental improvement projects, inviting guest speakers/performers, to name a few.

How Can You Help?

We encourage donations through Cheney Friends above, because the school can claim Gift Aid.  Alternatively...

Set up a monthly direct debit

If you feel you could support the school by giving us a monthly donation, you can do so by setting up a Direct Debit. This money will go into a central (but ring fenced) pot to be used  for enhancing student experience: provision of additional resources, in-house alternative provision, pastoral support, investment in IT infrastructure, environmental improvement projects, inviting guest speakers/performers, to name a few.

Please use your last name as your reference on the Direct Debit form below.

make a one-off payment

If you don't feel like you can give monthly, but would like to 'do your bit' maybe you would like to give a one off amount into our central pot? You can do so by bank transfer, using the reference 'D001'and your surname:
