If you are a passionate and knowledgeable maths teacher committed to truly comprehensive education, we think there is nowhere better to teach maths than Cheney School. A fantastic and diverse student body, a brilliant team of teachers and technicians who are as supportive as you'll ever find and leadership in the department that is focussed on great teaching, the science of learning and excellent behaviour.
Our priority is to give every student who walks through our doors the best maths education they can get, whatever their starting point or background. We are mindful of staff wellbeing and continually aim to maximise student learning without increasing workload. We create and share resources, quiz students often, and set homework online that is marked automatically. We develop great relationships with our students and communicate regularly with their parents.
We are committed to continuous professional development and have wide-ranging training and development opportunities. We are also mindful of the competing demands people face in their lives and are happy to consider part-time applications.
