Cheney students can access 1:1 counselling with our trained team of counsellors. We address a wide range of issues, including anxiety, low mood, bereavement, friendship difficulties, family problems, or just a sense of things not being right. By thinking out loud with a trained counsellor, students often see ways forward which they hadn’t seen before.

We take both confidentiality and safeguarding very seriously, and adhere to the Ethical Framework of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Students can self-refer by dropping by the counselling offices at break or lunch, or by emailing counselling@cheneyschool.org. Parents and carers can also email the same address, though the decision to try counselling rests with the student themselves.

We work from W12 and W66, on opposite ends of the ground floor of Wainwright Building.
