The structure of our Pastoral Teams ensures our students attitude and outcomes at the heart of everything we do.
For September 2018, we are introducing a Head of Student Progress role. This individual will have overall responsibility for the academic outcomes of students. They will have prime responsibility for improving the school’s provision for learning for all of their students. They will work with students across the year groups.
We are also introducing a Pastoral Leader role. The Pastoral Leader will be fully committed to the wellbeing of each and every student in their year. Developing and maintaining a positive attitude of all of our students is a priority of the school. If any student needs support, their Pastoral Leader is there to listen, offer help and advice, try to resolve problems, or just offer a quiet space to think. They will celebrate successes and achievements in the year group and ensure reward and recognition is a core aspect of the school. The Pastoral Leader will work closely with the Head of Student Progress to ensure that the care of students promotes their achievement and well being.
In addition, we are introducing the Pastoral Assistant role. The Pastoral Assistant will support the Pastoral Leaders, and focus particularly on following up attendance and punctuality.
