Ms Jo Morgan, School Mindfulness Lead

Mindfulness is all about learning to direct our attention to our experience as it unfolds. So much of our thinking is in the future or the past. Rather than worrying about what has happened or might happened it trains us to explore and respond skilfully to what is happening in the present moment. Our minds wander constantly, but with practice we can learn to sustain our attention and direct it more skilfully. This can help us to break the grip of unhelpful mental habits, judgements and impulses, making way for greater calm. However, it does take patience and practice!!
